What is Sous Vide?

Sous vide is a literal translation from French meaning ‘under vacuum’. The concept of sous vide is to slow cook food which has been vacuum sealed and cooked in the water bath at a precise time and temperature to create enhanced and mouth-watering flavours.

Sous vide is a much healthier way of cooking too – there’s no added salt or fats, which are often used when cooking using traditional methods.

Furthermore, we have a recipe page, so you can cook like a professional chef in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Sous vide is becoming a highly popular method of cooking within British households. Our luxury sous vide water bath has a capacity of 8 litres, perfect for a family dinner or hosting a party where you’ll impress with your new found favourite kitchen gadget.

You can also leave the water bath on cooking your food items, if you needed to go out. Some meats, such as our pulled pork recipe, can take 24 hours to cook and some may  need 72 hours to cook so therefore we have ensured that your Clifton at Home water bath would be safe to leave cooking your food.
